The Mind Pathway
Your mind has been shaped by both your life experiences and an evolutionary history designed to keep you safe. The way you think, feel, and respond to stress is adaptive, and often protective.
The Mind Pathway supports you to develop awareness of patterns of thinking and emotion, and to relate to them with courage, curiosity, and compassion, especially during times of stress or difficulty.

Who is this for?

What is Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT)?
Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), developed by Professor Paul Gilbert, is a therapeutic approach grounded in evolutionary psychology, neuroscience, and an understanding of human emotion systems. It recognises that many difficulties, such as anxiety, shame, and self-criticism are understandable patterns shaped by our biology and lived experience.
CFT helps us understand these patterns and build the capacity to respond to them with wisdom, curiosity, and care. Compassion is not about being passive or self-indulgent. It is an active, courageous stance that helps us meet difficulty differently.
The aim is not to “fix” your mind, but to understand it more deeply, creating space for steadiness, flexibility, and self-compassion in everyday life.
